Weirdeyes, this is known as "Neuroplasticity" in which the brain is able to adapt to the data provided.

It's long been assumed that the brain loses such a capability with age; however that has been challenged in recently. Whether or not this is true, active means to alleviate the situation can be made, or else in your situation it appears they have arisen without intervention.

Weirdeyes 01 Nov 2017, 00:02

I've read some studies that say that people who have poor depth perception develop some compensations that make their brains process 3D better. I know for sure my lack of depth perception could be compensated for. I didn't really show much signs of poor depth perception. The main sign I showed was a fear of ball sports. This might have nothing to do with my eyesight, but I'm pretty good at sculpture. It just seems like my brain is good at processing 3D. My mom is into sculpture as well and she was high plus with crossed eyes and amblyopia.

HI Ladies with very high plus glasses, they are a real turn on, I have dated once a lady with such glasses she was so sexy looking and physically, and was a great companion. Love all you high RX ;ladies. Have fun

It is fortunate to have girl friends with many power rings.

Each layer or sheet of power rings generates IQ +10 , Knowledge +20 attraction + 30 night suitability + 40

281 01 Aug 2017, 23:19

Girls, If you have brain, you have makeup, why dont you wear glasses with many power rings ?

Dont hide our miopia in contact lenses. Contact lenses hides your beautiful power rings from being seen.

Makeup tends to make you look brainless if there are no real prescription glasses covering your makeup.

Late Summer 2017

I think about my childhood , how i became obsessed, about girls wearing glasses with prescription lenses made of plastic.

At first it was surprise when girls getting their first pair of glasses. Year 1997.

I think, "you are so beautiful without glasses, why wear glasses ? "

I think "How are you today ? Wearing your first glasses to school ?"

I looked at her (supposed to be my girlfriend at that time) ,

Glasses are telling me. wordless. its thickness , cut in , power rings. Telling information about why she wears the glasses.

"How are you today ?" She just need a gaze through her new glasses. I sense something was new to me.

I already thought she was beautiful without glasses , glasses was suppose to made her ugly , but i did not care about ugly, she had attractive face , maybe also skin and clothes

I will visit Palermo for the first time in my life in the next weeks (just for one day). I'm curious if it is true that there are so many girls in glasses esp. it must be a heaven for plus lovers.

Somebody wrote that in this forum. I will update you afterwards.

A brief musing on the passage of time and the accelerating advances of technology...

I started coming to EyeScene 19 years ago, back before social media was a thing and mass market digital cameras (to say nothing of devices like the iPhone on which I'm currently typing this) were still a few years away.

Back in those days, ES was a mostly textual experience consumed over dial-up.

Today we swap links to pictures that bespectacled people take of themselves and upload instantly and wirelessly.

With the release of the Oculus Rift, and with other mass-market virtual reality headsets due out later this year, I can't help but wonder what EyeScene will be in 2035, 19 years from now. Will we interact with lifelike bespectacled avatars of each other across oceans and time zones? Will we make and distribute homemade glasses fetish VR porn? Will we be able to experience our most secret optic obsessive fantasies in a fully immersive unreal reality?

I can't help but wonder.

A. P. 22 Jan 2016, 07:59

Yes, 'twould be wonderful to hear from Clare again....hope she's doing well!

Likelenses 21 Jan 2016, 22:13

Where oh where is Clare?

She must be in bifocals by now.

Glassesforeveryone 23 Nov 2015, 15:14

That exciting thought that you have your eye test tomorrow. ...what developments await?!

Antonio 08 Nov 2015, 01:55

All4eyes, your cylinder is with 0.5 not that strong that I think it makes lot of a difference. Not that much I think. Best regards

Antonio

All4Eyes 07 Nov 2015, 23:43

Sorry for being so late with the update, lots of personal stuff happening lately, and I'm working on a longer post describing the whole experience. But long story short, my new rx is OS -4.25 OD -4.25 +0.50 axis 90. So I got bumped up "one click" as the doc said in my left eye, but my right actually went DOWN one click (plus gained some cylinder). No, bad eyeball, wrong direction! Lol. I was trying to cheat the phoropter to get more minus and suspect I may have ended up getting unnecessary cylinder and/or possibly even less minus then I should have had, because I messed that up. But then I know my right eye is blurrier uncorrected than my left and has always just generally felt wonky, and they were able to get me to 20/20, which I only got to 20/25 before. I wondered how I would adjust to the astigmatism correction, when I got my new glasses everything was wavy gravy for about a minute and then it was fine. Now I'm wondering if glasses without the cylinder would make things look weird now?

minus5wholuvsgwgs 09 Jul 2015, 21:59

Good luck hope you make it let us know

All4Eyes 09 Jul 2015, 17:05

Re: hooked 25 Jan 2013, 13:51

maybe your wife has seen your postings on eyescene BBS.

hooked 25 Jan 2013, 13:51

Long time ago since I have posted.

Some days ago my wife and me talked about glasses. I can't remember why but surely this is a topic I prefer discussing. Probably it was because our younger daughter got stronger glasses ( +2.5 instead of +1.5). I made a small comment like that I don't think it is too dramatic a change.

Then she said to me:

"I know you prefer glasses which make eyes bigger like mine."

I was quite shocked. I never told her anything about my attraction to that but she was absolute true.

Can women really do thought-reading?

Melyssa 02 Jan 2013, 06:38

Happy New Year to all Eyesceners!

myopeinhere 31 Dec 2012, 18:45

Happy new year eyesceners, hope 2013 brings you high prescriptions and lots of sightings!

Crystal Veil 30 Dec 2012, 03:31

Soundmanpt,

the nurse saw me selecting the glasses just before the photo shoot with Lucy. She was very curious and as my brother was fast asleep we went through the Zennis and picked out her favorite pair (which can be seen in the final pictures of Lucy). The frame was only available in brown but she did not mind. Weeks later she sent me her full prescription (about -3) and I ordered the glasses. They arrived just in time for Christmas.

Soundmanpt 29 Dec 2012, 20:43

Crystal Veil

That was a very nice jesture on your part and I would think well received by that nurse. Did you use your trial set on her to determine what prescription she needed? Did she not have any glasses before?

Crystal Veil 29 Dec 2012, 15:54

Likelenses,

I gave a pair of glasses for Christmas to a lady who was the professional nurse for my late brother. I also ordered two pairs of glasses for my life partner Nel. Zenni frames and lenses by ciliaryblue.

 29 Dec 2012, 08:29

did you give yet another pair of glasses to LauraC?

Likelenses 26 Dec 2012, 03:48

Did anyone give,or receive glasses for Christmas?

Puffin 24 Dec 2012, 18:46

Merry Christmas to all glasses wearers and lovers here.

ehpc 22 Dec 2012, 07:18

I recall telling a 'blonde' joke (personally I LOVE blonde GWGs:- blonde = fun, and glasses = brains so blonde GWG is the perfect package :))to a blonde woman who was a friend. After I got to the end of this glaringly obvious joke, she looked at me in puzzlement, and - without any humour or irony or anything - said.................. 'I don't get it.........'. True story.

 22 Dec 2012, 06:34

dumb joke. guess they never heard of a monocle? welcome to 1820.

Melyssa 20 Dec 2012, 14:35

Very funny joke! At least I'm not one of those potential Bonnie Millers. :)

Soundmanpt 19 Dec 2012, 19:06

Likelenses

I think I dated that third girl once. lol

Likelenses 19 Dec 2012, 16:45

This blonde joke was sent to me in an email.

*Three blondes were all applying for the last available position on

the Saskatoon Police Force.*

*The detective conducting the interview looked at the three of them

and said, "So you all want to be cops, huh?"*

*The blondes all nodded.*

*The detective got up, opened a file drawer, and pulled out a folder.*

*Sitting back down, he opened it, pulled out a picture, and said,*

*"To be a detective, you have to be able to detect.*

*You must be able to notice things such as distinguishing features and

oddities like scars and so forth."*

*So saying this, he stuck the photo in the face of the first blonde and

withdrew it after about two seconds.*

*"Now," he said, "did you notice any distinguishing features about this man?"*

*The blonde immediately said, "Yes, I did, he has only one eye!"*

*The detective shook his head and said,*

*"Of course he has only one eye in this picture! *

*It's a profile of his face! *

*You're dismissed!"*

*The first blonde hung her head and walked out of the office.*

*The detective then turned to the second blonde, stuck the photo in

her face for two seconds, pulled it back, and said, "What about you?

Notice anything unusual or outstanding about this man?"*

*"Yes! He only has one ear!"*

*The detective put his head in his hands and exclaimed,*

*"Didn't you hear what I just told the other lady?*

*This is a profile of the man's face! Of course you can only see one

ear! *

*You're excused too!"*

*The second blonde sheepishly walked out of the office.*

*The detective turned his attention to the third and last blonde and

said,*

*"This is probably a waste of time, but...." *

*He flashed the photo in her face for a couple of seconds and withdrew

it, saying,*

*"All right, did you notice anything distinguishing or unusual about this

man?"*

*The blonde said,* *"I sure did. This man wears contact lenses.*

*" The detective frowned, took another look at the picture, and began

looking at some of the papers in the folder.*

*He looked up at the blonde with a puzzled expression and said,*

*"You're absolutely right! His bio says he wears contacts! How in the

world could you tell that by looking at his picture?"*

*The blonde rolled her eyes and said,* *"Well, Hellooooooooooooo!*

*With only one eye and one ear, ...he certainly can't wear glasses."*

GL 06 Dec 2012, 07:30

Astra,

The thicker the lenses, the better.

Astra 06 Dec 2012, 04:40

I remember there were some posts from GL regarding glasses licking.

Somehow, I find licking them, is really a turn on.

We may have similar obsession towards lenses:

" I won't forget the way you(lenses)'re kissing

The feeling's so strong were lasting for so long "

DC 05 Oct 2012, 03:41

There is an exhibition on on London showing the contemporary eyewear in Fashion, it's free and at The London College of fashion at Oxford Circus .

Enjoy , and maybe see you there check out fashionspacegallery.com

hooked 11 Jul 2012, 04:49

My thought of the day:

I didn't make much mistakes my life.

One of my biggest ones was when my wife (girl-friend at those times) told me she wants to try contacts and I didn't say a word. I just said it after she ordered some. And she said: "Couldn't you have said it before? Now I will try them."

It's not teh case that she never had glasses on afterwards.

Mostly she had them on while at home but not in public area.

I would have so much liked to marry a bride with glasses.

Meanwhile (more than 20 years later) she's completely back into glasses with some exceptions like swimming (which I can completely understand).

Yes, I'm kind of crazy.

Astra 29 Dec 2011, 04:17

ES will be closing to new post.

May I wish everyone a forever friendship, and happiness.

i think that owner of the website should add similar threads for devotees of girls with glasses and hearing aid.

nothing is better than Girl with Glasses + Hearing Aid.

what u guys say ????

Astra 22 Jun 2011, 23:13

Moreover, in 1980s Hong Kong

In a store that my family used to operate, we sold sunglasses or glasses.

We didn't offer any eye test device to the client.

Or required any valid prescription from doctors.

All we did was, glasses were sold over the counter, without any optometrist available in the store .

The store mostly sells souvenirs .

Astra 22 Jun 2011, 23:03

Crystal Veil,

yes.

Because of its culture and politics, China has all varieties of poisoning or exploitation.

The problem are mostly restricted to non-export products.

They can involve:

Food such as milk, table salt, candies, tofu, vegetables ;

Healthcare products such as syringe, glasses, eye drops, tablets ;

Pollution from PCB factories ... etc.

If similar incidents happened in US, EU or Japan, they would likely end up with severe lawsuits.

As shown in recent European e.coli incident.

Crystal Veil 22 Jun 2011, 16:45

Thought of the day indeed, Astra!

Astra 22 Jun 2011, 11:14

Saw a comment on baidu.com , which illustrate the Optical market in China , which is different from US or Europe.

"In China, high myopia is prevalent.

Developed nations consider optometrists as a medical practice.

Optometrists has to be certified.

Prescription lenses are only prescribed with optometrist's permission.

However, in China.

There's no such regulations.

In glasses stores, non-certified optometrist solely rely on the machine (i.e. auto refractor).

Almost acquired glaucoma by eye drops that treats cornea (?)

scared.

Since childhood, the education system ruined his/her life.

Now his/her eye got high myopia,

he/she became not confident in life,

no motivation to study.

find no meaning in life . "
